Many teachers strongly prefer students to practise on an acoustic piano where possible. For families preparing for lessons and grades, having a real acoustic at home can be a huge advantage.

Our rental scheme makes that much easier. A student can have access to a proper acoustic piano at home, work through their grades on it, and then return it later if their circumstances change. That gives parents flexibility without taking away the benefits of learning on the right instrument.

Renting a pre-owned acoustic piano is a simple way to get started without the pressure of making a final decision too early. It works well for beginners, progressing students, and families who want to see how things develop over time.

If you decide that you would like to buy, we can put up to 6 months of your rental allowance towards any acoustic piano you choose with us. That means your rental period still helps you move towards ownership if that becomes the right next step.

Come in and try the pianos for yourself

All of our acoustic pianos are available to try in our piano gallery. You are welcome to visit during opening hours, spend time playing them, and get a proper feel for the differences between instruments.

That matters because every acoustic piano has its own sound and character. Even pianos from the same maker can feel different under the fingers. Finding the right one is not just about reading a description. It is about hearing it, playing it, and seeing which piano feels right for you.

Yan is here to guide you through the process in a friendly and personal way. He is happy to spend time with customers one to one to help them find the right piano, whether they are buying new, buying pre-owned, or starting with rental.

We take real care with every piano we offer. Our pianos are maintained, cleaned and tuned regularly, so whether you are looking at a new instrument or a pre-owned one, you can feel confident that it has been properly looked after.

Mark brings 35 years of experience to the workshop. That experience helps us make sure every piano we present is in strong musical condition, with a touch and tone that customers can enjoy from the start.

Easy piano delivery, fully handled by Hickies

Buying an acoustic piano can feel like a big step, and for many people the practical side of delivery is one of the biggest worries. We make that part easy.

We have our own in-house team, our own van, and the experience to move pianos properly. That means you do not need to work out how to transport it yourself or deal with outside movers. We handle the process carefully from start to finish.

If you are in our catchment area and the piano is being delivered to a ground floor location with straightforward access, delivery is fully included and fully handled by us. We can also help with tuning after the piano has settled into its new home so that everything feels right once it is in place.
