Description

Art & Lutherie’s Legacy Natural EQ is built for players who want an everyday acoustic that feels intimate in the lap yet stands tall in a crowd. The modest Concert Hall body, finished in a thin semi gloss clearcoat, balances snug curves with a little extra depth, giving the guitar more internal air than a parlour without the boom of a dreadnought. Strum it lightly and the sound blooms with sweet upper mids; dig in and the voice stays focused, never muddy. The solid Sitka spruce top is pressure tested at the factory to weed out any piece that fails to meet strict stiffness and resonance goals, so every model leaves the line lively and ready to open up further with hours of play.

Complementing that responsive soundboard are laminated mahogany back and sides, chosen for a warm low-mid response that supports vocals rather than competes with them. The neck is mahogany too, joined at the fourteenth fret with a dual-action truss rod hidden inside for easy seasonal tweaks. Its 25.5-inch scale length keeps string tension firm enough for clear intonation, yet single-note lines still feel supple under the fingers. A pau ferro fingerboard with a flat sixteen-inch radius lets bends glide without fretting out, and a bone nut cut to a hair under forty-three millimetres gives fingerstyle passages just enough room.

When the night calls for a cable, the Fishman Presys VT system carries the guitar’s natural character straight to the mixing desk. Two small wheels for volume and contour sit just inside the sound hole, leaving the rims uncluttered and sparing the cedar kerfing from extra screws. Plugged in, the spruce’s bright attack and mahogany’s velvet tail translate into a mix-ready signal that often needs only a touch of reverb to sit perfectly among other instruments.

Hardware is chosen for hardworking stability rather than flash. Open gear tuners with an eighteen to one ratio make small pitch corrections easy, even during a song, and once locked in they refuse to drift. A pau ferro bridge partners with a compensated bone saddle for clean string-to-top energy transfer, while factory-fitted A6 Light strings in the twelve to fifty-three range keep the feel consistent with other stage acoustics. Designed in Canada and assembled in China from largely North American woods, the Legacy Natural EQ delivers honest tone, solid workmanship, and day-to-day reliability without asking the player to stretch for a boutique price.

Features

Solid Sitka Spruce Top

Pressure tested Sitka spruce forms a lively diaphragm that rewards a gentle touch with rich overtones yet handles hard strumming without compressing. The result is a broad dynamic range and a voice that grows more complex as the guitar matures.

Presys VT Electronics

A discreet Fishman pickup and preamp sit beneath the saddle and inside the sound hole, providing stage-ready amplification with only two small wheels for quick volume and tone tweaks. No external preamp box or bulky side panel is required.

Comfortable Concert Hall Body

The Concert Hall outline marries compact waist curves with slightly deeper ribs, creating a guitar that feels snug when seated but still moves enough air to support a singer in an unplugged set.

Pau Ferro Fingerboard and Bridge

Dense pau ferro delivers much of the oily sustain of rosewood while resisting humidity swings and fretwear. Its natural luster and fine pores help every note ring true and stay clear.

High Ratio Open Gear Tuners

Eighteen to one gear sets allow precise half-turn adjustments, so quick retunes between drop D, open G, or standard are painless. The exposed gears also lend a dash of vintage visual appeal.
