We currently deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom only.
If you place an order with a delivery address outside the UK, we will need to cancel and refund your order, as we’re unable to ship internationally at this time.
Delivery costs are calculated at checkout based on:
- The shipping class of the item (e.g. envelope, small parcel, large parcel, heavy item), and
- Your delivery address / postcode.
All applicable delivery options and prices will be shown before you confirm your order.
Free Local Delivery for Heavy Items & Rental Instruments
We offer FREE local delivery on:
- Acoustic pianos and other products marked as “Heavy Item”
- Most larger instruments such as Guitars and Large Amplifiers, marked as “Large Parcel”
- Our Rental instruments!
to customers in our local delivery area – no hidden fees or extra charges.
Free local delivery will be automatically applied at checkout once you’ve entered your delivery address.
If your postcode is in one of the areas listed below, the heavy-item / rental delivery charge will be removed.
If your postcode is outside these areas, a standard £60 delivery fee will apply for heavy items.

Delivery Costs by Shipping Class
Envelopes & Large Letters (Royal Mail)
Most music books and very small items are sent as large letters via Royal Mail.
- Up to 750 g
- Maximum size: 35 cm (L) × 25 cm (W) × 2.5 cm (D)
- Packed in a sturdy, “do not bend” envelope
- Cost: £2.50
Small Parcels (Royal Mail)
Used for slightly larger accessories and small items.
- Up to 2 kg
- Maximum size: 45 cm (L) × 35 cm (W) × 16 cm (D)
- Packed in strong cardboard boxes
- Cost: £4.95
Large Parcels (DPD or Hickies Local Delivery)
Items too big for the small-parcel category are sent as large parcels via DPD.
- Heavier or bulkier boxed items
- Packed in thick boxes with protective padding
- Cost: £4.95
Heavy Items (Hickies Local Delivery or Specialist Courier)
Items marked as “Heavy Item” (including acoustic pianos) require special handling.
- Within our local delivery area (postcodes listed above):
- FREE delivery on heavy items & rental instruments.
- Outside our local area (rest of mainland UK):
- £60 delivery fee per heavy item.
If your address is in a location where we’re unable to arrange heavy-item delivery, we’ll contact you promptly to discuss options or arrange a refund.
Returns & Warranty
We want you to be really happy with your purchase.
If something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help.
14-Day Refund Policy
Changed your mind? No problem.
You have 14 days from the day of purchase to request a full refund on items bought from our online store.
To be eligible for a refund:
- If the item was sold as new:
- It must be unopened, unused and returned in all of its original packaging, exactly as sold.
- If the item was sold as used:
- It must be returned in the same condition it was in when you bought it.
We’re always happy to talk about returns and help you through the process – just contact us and we’ll take care of it with you.
Our Warranty
New Items – 12 Months Warranty
All new items purchased from us come with a 12-month warranty against manufacturer defects.
Many manufacturers also offer extended warranties.
Please check the manual or paperwork that comes with your product, as you may need to register online with the manufacturer to activate any extended cover they provide.
Used Items – 3 Months Warranty
All used items purchased from us include a 3-month parts and labour warranty, so you can buy pre-owned with confidence.
If Your Parcel Looks Damaged in Transit
If you think your parcel has been damaged on its way to you, please let us know straight away.
- When your delivery arrives, inspect the packaging carefully.
- If you’re not happy with its condition, please do not accept the parcel.
- If you decide to accept it, make sure any marks or visible damage are noted with the courier before you sign.
This helps us raise the issue with the courier and look after you as quickly as possible.
If Your Item Arrives Damaged or Not as Described
We carefully check all items before they leave us, but if something doesn’t look right, we absolutely want to know.
If you notice damage or wear that you believe we’ve missed:
- Contact us within 2 days of the day of purchase.
- Tell us what’s wrong and, if possible, include photos so we can assess the issue.
If we’ve sent you an item that is more worn or damaged than advertised, we’ll treat it as faulty, and it will be eligible to be returned on that basis.
After the initial 2-day period, you will no longer be covered by our refund policy for condition issues, but you will still have your 12-month (new) or 3-month (used) warranty cover for manufacturer defects.
Returning a Faulty Item
If your item develops a fault or manufacturer defect within your warranty period (12 months for new items, 3 months for used):
Once the fault has been confirmed, we will offer you a refund or a replacement, where applicable.

We may need to test the item, and we will ask you to provide your receipt or proof of purchase.
